Children can enjoy the experience of using clay with no need for the expense or safety issues of a kiln. Dries hard when exposed to air. A dual purpose clay, fine texture that can be used as earthenware.

• Suitable for age 36 months+. Adult supervision recommended

• A natural product, some of which is mined locally in Staffordshire, the home of the Potteries and Shropshire

• Can be moulded, shaped and stretched

• Use with modelling tools and textured plates

• Explores understanding of basic concepts – hard/soft, wet/dry

• Does not contain Sulphur

• Typical shrinkage is around 12% wet or dry

• If partially air dried, can be reconstituted by soaking a towel and covering the clay with cling film for 24hrs

• Wheat and Gluten free

Finished models can be decorated with almost any paint and given a coat of PVA or varnish to give a glossy finish. Improves hand strength which prepares fingers for pen and pencil use in the future. Can also be kiln dried. Temps: Earthenware 1120 degrees c; Stoneware 1250 degrees c. Contains nylon fibres to give extra strength to the finished pieces. Fibres burn away if kiln dried.
